I have hypothyroidism but my doc said i may have hyperthyroidism as well. Could smoking marijuana have caused this or affect my thyroid at all?

In brief: Unlikely

Though certain thyroid conditions can cause both hypo and hyper thyroidism at one point or another, both cannot exist at the same time.
It would be like saying your gas tank is full and empty at the same time. At this time there aren't any conclusive studies showing that chronic marijuana use directly affects thyroid function. However, marijuana does affect other hormones.

Absolutely agreed. You can't have both hypo & hyperthyroidism at the same time. Most likely in this case, it's misinterpretation of the labs
