In brief: Co enzyme Q10

Many people take coenzyme q 10.
There is insufficient data for me to recommend it. Niacin is used to lower cholesterol and raise HDL ("good") cholesterol but, again, the data is mixed. The recent "aim-high" study showed no benefit in pts adding it to a statin. Eating fish is beneficial. Taking fish oils may be helpful but remains unclear. Some people take garlic but there's no proof of benefit.
