In brief: Yes

Especially if the MRI has been reported on by the radiologist.
The neurologist is the specialist when it comes to the history and phys exam of stroke patients. The radiologist is the specialist when it comes to reading images including mri. There are specialized sequences that are used to evaluate stroke. Best of luck, .

In brief: Yes

Neurologists can look at mri, your history and clinical exam, and let you know about another potential stroke.

In brief: Need more info

In order to tell whether you've had another stroke, you would need to have brain MRIs (and preferably also MRAs) that were taken before and after the suspected additional stroke.
This, coupled with your medical history and other diagnostics, would assist a neurologist in determining if you had any evidence of another MRI-positive stroke. http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=1104403

In brief: Second opinion

Is a good idea. An MRI can be submitted to http://conciergeradiologist.
Com in the next month for reevaluation. One picture is not enough - the whole study will need to be sent, but fortunately that's not hard.
