In brief: Acid reflux

Treatment of acid reflux mandates lifestyle changes - medication alone is not the answer. Avoidance of food triggers is essentail in addition to small frequent feedings, bed head elevation to 4-6 inches and avoiding food 2-3 hours before bedtime.
Cold drinks relax the gastroesophageal sphincter - warm liquids may be more comforting. Been there, still there and still enjoying life!

PLUS; Check your other meds, they may be aggravating the problem. Lack of serotonin in the brain can disrupt smooth muscle functioning and cause gut problems. Sometime odd medical issues are caused by a dysfunction of the skeletal muscles as per Janet G Travell, MD and require manual therapy wellness and minerals; magnesium. I complement traditional therapy with acupuncture. Find L glutamine at the vit Shoppe,it will help revitalized the gut mucosa.
