We're not gorillas!
Predation is not just a nasty indulgence.
To our ancestors, it was a nutritional must-do. Animal meat is dense with proteins. Also, fat from a cow or pig serves a a repository for calories. To make sure we come when the dinner bell clangs, our brains recognize the smell of sizzling meat as irresistible. (Ref. Time, 11/9/2015). That being said, meat moderation is key as supplemented with veggies.
