What does scar revision surgery do?

Scar revision. Scar revision removes an existing scar and places a new fine line like scar that is less noticeable. It can be done in one session but sometimes needs several sessions.
Scar improvement. Scar revision includes a wide range of procedures but typically involves cutting out a scar and replacing it with a finer surgical scar. Scar revision can also include soft tissue rearrangement to either reorient a scar or lengthen a contracted scar. In experienced hands scar revision is very effective at improving the appearance of objectionable scars.
