Could you tell me about gingivectomy?

Tissue removal. A gingivectomy is the surgical removal of gum tissue either to treat infection, or to change cosmetically to allow for a new filling or crown. We use lasers in our office to provide this treatment and it is virtually pain and bloodlfree.
Choose Laser for it. Gingivectomy is the process of removing some of the gum. Sometimes we perform it in cosmetic dentistry to make front teeth look better, while making veneers or bonding. Sometimes it is done around a tooth to be crowned to get a better fit. My advice is to have it done with the laser. It's more precise, faster healing, and usually no bleeding.
