Good drug for some. Imuran (azathioprine) is a good drug for some types of patients. It is an immune suppressing drug and the drug concentrations in the blood stream need to be monitored. It is taken every day. It takes about 6 weeks to really start working so it is not a great drug to "rescue" you from a crohn's flare.
