Several factors determine how intoxicated a person will become (and thus their risk of posioning) when consuming alcohol 1) size- the smaller the individual, the less alcohol required to become intoxicated 2) time- because the body metabolizes alcohol, drinking spread out over a number of hours lessons the effect 3) tolerance- because of tolerance- the more often you drink, the less the effect.
