Does a normal result for the d-dimer blood test mean I don't have an abdominal aneurysm?

In brief: No

The way to know if you have an abdominal aoritc aneurysm or not is to get an abdominal ultrasound.
A single d-dimers is not helpful. If you have a normal d-dimer it means you proabbly don't have a blood clot anywhere.

In brief: No

A d-dimer blood test can be used to screen for a tear in the aorta, known as a dissection, but it is not helpful in identifying an aneurysm.

In brief: No

D-dimer is a blood marker that often tells us about blood clotting.
An aneurysm is an area of turbulent flow of blood, or a ballooning of the vessel causing local circulation. The presence of an aneurysm does not necessarily mean that there is blood clotting, d-dimer will likely be higher when there is a clot somewhere in the body.
