Seborrheic keratosis. A benign skin growth that usually occurs during adult age. They involve the outer layer of skin and the tendency to get them is inherited. They can be removed with liquid nitrogen cryosurgery .
Non-cancerous growth. Seborrheic keratosis is a noncancerous (benign) wart-like growth on the surface of the skin. It is common after age 40 and is of unknown cause, but it may run in families. It often is found on the face, neck, chest and back, and may become irritated or unsightly. It can be removed surgically or by freezing. If there is any question as to the diagnosis, a biopsy can be done.
