In brief: Terrible

Lupron (leuprolide) causes reversible menopause.
So as soon as the medicine takes effect the estrogen drops to zero same as complete menopause. Hot flashes, night sweats, moods, memory issues and joint pain etc. Many dr.S use this for endometriosis but endo is a surgically treated disease. Lupron (leuprolide) only temporarily diminishes symptoms but makes people miserable. Excisional surgery is needed via laparoscopy!

In brief: Avoid them with...

Norethindrone acetate, or aygestin (norethindrone).
If you are taking lupron, the most serious side effect of longer term use is bone weakening, or osteopenia. You can avoid the majority of this bone loss and avoid most hot flashes with daily oral "add-back therapy" with Norethindrone acetate. When you stop taking lupron, most of the bone loss is recovered quickly.
