Prometrium (micronized progesterone) is a Progesterone (p4) hormone.
P4 prevents ovulation if taken early (think bcp). P4 should only be used after ovulation and stopped if menses and no pregnancy. P4 can delay onset of menses. After stopping p4, normal cycles and ovulation should start again. Talk with your doc about why you took Prometrium (micronized progesterone) and make plan for future ovulation. Best wishes.
