I've been getting lower back stiffness and pain. It also affects my right hip. May be exercise related. It's painful bending over. Any suggestions?

More proactive with daily exercise in terms of flexibility, core work & cardio wihile limiting prolonged positioning which generates up to 4 times your body weight across discs of lower back sitting & 2 times standing.
If overweight, get trim and if you smoke stop as both accelerates disc degeneration. You may want to try otc medication if no contraindications & get hip checked to make sure ok.

If it just began with some type of exercise or regularly gets worse after a workout, it may be a type of "overuse" problem. Tight or strained muscles can improve with more stretching after exercise, modifying the amount or type of activity.
If the pain is severe or sharp and seems to spread to your buttocks or thighs, you might have a pinched nerve in your spine. See your doctor for diagnosis!
