In brief: Does not prevent

Water therapy is a treatment for all types of arthritis but is not a cure.
Also with psoriatic arthritis , i would be careful with water therapy. The water may have the potential to irritate the psoriasis. Talk to your dermatologist about this.

In brief: Psoriatic Arthritis

Low-impact exercises (water therapy) are good for strengthening muscles while minimizing joint trauma that contributes to osteoarthritis ("wear & tear" arthritis).
Psoriatic arthritis is an autoimmune condition (the immune system attacks the joints) & can run in families. While it's not known how to avoid getting it, healthy habits are good for limiting progression of all types of arthritis.
