Anxiety in pregnancy. Lots of pregnant women have some anxiety, but about 10% have a true anxiety disorder. Exercise like prenatal swimming or yoga may help, and also lets you talk with other women. Your OB can help you decide if this is normal, and can refer you either for psychotherapy, or for medication, or both. Panic attacks, depression, inability to function are all signs that anxiety may need treatment.
