In brief: Almost impossible
Almost impossible to tell without an x-ray or mri.
It may even take a week for minimally displaced fractures to become evident on follow up x-rays.

In brief: You need an xray
Scaphoid fractures are diagnosed through xrays.
However, you do not have to go to the hospital to get xrays all the time. Many hand surgeons have xrays machines in their offices. When you call to schedule an appointment, you can ask the office to verify that they have these machines.

Agree. Potential scaphoid injury should be taken seriously as not all heal well and can possibly lead to wrist arthritis

In brief: Wrist scaphoid fx
If there's a possibility of a scaphoid fracture, don't fool around as these fractures and associated injuries are typically much easier to treat earlier rather than later.Good luck.

In brief: You can't
Scaphoid fractures are a radiographic diagnosis.
..Hence they need an xray to be diagnosed.

In brief: Not "possible"
Wrist pain after a fall or trauma can be due to many things, one of which is a scaphoid fracture.
If someone suspects that you have a scaphoid fracture, definitive diagnosis requires some type of imaging (xrays or mri) and is best diagnosed early. See an orthopaedic surgeon, one that commonly diagnoses and treats wrist injuries.
