In brief: Probably not...

Entirely. Although very tight, hard to put on, sometimes hard to take off, always hot in the summertime, and people often really don't like them, most will say, in all honesty, that they make their legs feel better despite everything.

Doctor King is right that there can be difficulties with teaching " donning and doffing " techniques -- application and removal of medical compression hosiery but the use of RX rubber gloves, Medi or sigvaris butler applicator, Juzo Slippie Gato and other teaching methods as well as various types of elastic and inelasti devices will improve your chances of comfort and relief of symptoms ESP. In the short term

In brief: No

Good to try for few months.
If doesn't work your doctor will discuss other options. Many insurance carriers require a trial of compression hose.

In brief: Compression Stocking

Compression stockings are effective for patients with increaseed vein pressure of the lower extremities and for patients with lymph problems.
The types of compression for these two disorders is different. And furthermore, the level of compressions are numerous. A trained professional including those in a wound care center can determine your needs.
