Can you turn blind from strabismus surgery?

In brief: Unlikely

Strabismus surgery works on structures out side of the eyeball & as such will not enter the visual pathway.
A group of muscles attach to the eyeball & line up the eyes for proper vision. The surgery can shorten one or more of these muscles to re-allign the eyeball. I suppose we could all go blind the day we had a tooth filled, but having the tooth filled would not necessarily be the cause.
