In brief: Varies but 2 weeks
This varies tremendously from one individual to another; however, the average patient takes about 2 weeks to return to light duty type activiites? However there are several factors that must be taken into consideration which relate to your pain tolerance, the extent of the procedure as well as your job description.
A desk job is very different from a construction worker.

In brief: Depends
It depends on the type of work that you do.
Most women can return to work after about 1 week. If you do a lot of heavy lifting or raising your arms above your head you may have to return to work with a "light duty" or "limited duty" restriction for a period of time (usually another 2 weeks or so).

In brief: How tough are you
No right answer to this.
It depends on what type of you do, what type of tummy tuck you get and how well you tolerate pain. For most of my patients it is between 10 and 14 days.

In brief: Returning to Work
Returning to work will depend on what type of work you do.
For the combination of tummy tuck and breast surgery, i generally ask patients to take off 2-4 weeks. If their job requires them to perform lifting and/or driving or anything strenuous, they may need longer recovery time.

In brief: Depends...
This depends upon the extent of surgery and the level of activity in your job.
Very active work types need to wait longer to get back to them. :).

In brief: 2-3 weeks recovery
As dr. Aguilo and other doctors have commented, many patients return to work after 2 weeks.
However, as a precaution, i advise all of my tummy tuck patients not to drive for 3 weeks. Fortunately in this era of remote access, many people can work from home during this third week!

In brief: Variable
After a mommy makeover there is a significant healing time before you can safely lift more than a few pounds.
If you have a desk type job then a week or 10 days might be enough, but more active occupations may need a light duty release for a few weeks.
