5 year old w/pain in belly button area. Already tried miralax (polyethylene glycol) and had x-ray. No fever or vomitting but pain is getting worse especially at bedtime.?

Stomachache. Did the x-ray show impacted stools? Is he regular going to the bathroom? Does he hold his poops? During the day, he's probably too busy and isignoring the pain. With the history you have supplied, his doctor has probably examined him. It looks like he is constipated. Continue giving him the MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) but add more fluids (water, prune juice) and fiber (fruits, vegetables, cereals, bran).

Constipated, been taking Miralax (polyethylene glycol) daily for about 2 months, feel swollen below belly button, left lower quad & rt lower quad?

Constipation. If your feeling of constipation is persistently requiring use of laxatives, you should have an evaluation performed to find out why you have had this change in your bowel habits. Laxatives are good only for occasional use and should not be required on a long-term basis. You should see your primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist. Good luck. Read more...

Mgt/workup. I would advise having another evaluation to include a urinalysis, blood count and ESR test if the pain persists. Sometimes renal infections, pneumonia and appendicitis may present with these symptoms. In the meantime, please check her temperature and provide clear fluids. Read more...

Lower left abdomen feels lump and heavy no pain. Had stomach X-rays told me to take Miralax (polyethylene glycol). This has been weeks should au be concerned?

CT scan? If lump is large, pub should have a ct scan to look inside rather than plain xrays. If it is smaller, and can be pushed in, it is likely a hernia. Ask your primary care provider about these at your next appointment. Within the next week or two to find if this is appropriate. Hope this helps! Read more...
