Is there a point in getting an HPV vaccination if you're waiting till your married to lose your virginity anyways?

In brief: Yes, get it now.

Hpv vaccines are beneficial if you get them before you become sexually active.
If you are already considering marriage, you are expecting to be sexually active in the near future. There is no reason to wait having the vaccine. The vaccine should work just as well in adults as it would in children.

And, you never know if your spouse may have been exposed or is a carrier of HPV
Dr. Paul Christakis
Yes, ASYMPTOMATIC carrier state is not uncommon. Also, a single or small lesion may not be noticed.

In brief: Yes!

Well, is the measles shot better to get before you get measles? Of course! that is how vaccines work! they prevent infection, not treat infections you already have.
The problem is, that about 40% of women will acquire hpv withint two years of sexual activity debut! and of course, you may be a virgin, but is your husband? Will your spouse ever cheat or will you be widowed? These may be risks for u.

In brief: Plans are just plans

In our real world, very few people get to live their lives just as they planned.
Hpv vaccine protects girls and women, regardless of how they come into contact with the viruses. America is a very safe country, but unfortunately, "date rape" and violent assaults happen from time to time. Criminals do carry hpv viruses, and can infect their victims. Hpv vaccines are protective in any situation.

In brief: Yes

That is great that you plan to maintain your virginity until marriage.
Your future husband may not have done the same thing. I have seen this several times in the office and it is very upsetting to these patients. The vaccine is safe. Protect yourself.
