Hi, im hypothyroid for the last 3 yrs n my reports r fine since 2.5yrs now after taking levothyroxine. Cud I still be losing hair bcoz of my thyroid?

Perhaps. Perhaps. Levothyroxine could be the wrong med for you if your free T3 (liothyronine) and reverse T3 (liothyronine) ratio is off. If so you need armour or some other sustained release t3 (liothyronine). Also check for lead and mercury toxicity. This can promote hair loss too. Also rule out B12 deficiency.
Usually not thyroid. Thyroid hormone excess and deficiency can both lead to hair loss. Normalizing thyroid levels usually resolves this. People with autoimmune thyroid disease are also at higher risk for autoimmune alopecia areata, which is patchy hair loss. However there are many other causes of non-thyroid related hair loss, such as anemia, stress, weight loss, pregnancy, and many other conditions....
