A pelvic exam is recommended for females, what about for males?

Good question. Men do not much pelvic content as their organs of reproduction are external. The prostate gland, which only males have, is behind the lining of the pelvis, and can and should be examined rectally in men.
Male genital exams. Because most female reproductive organs are on the inside (excluding breasts) a pelvic exam is used to see and feel the female organs. Because male organs are mostly on the outside his testes and penis can be examined from the outside. The prostate requires a rectal exam.
