The tip of my tongue is sometimes numb and there are times that it tastes sweet. Is this from diabetes. I am type 2?

In brief: Not from DM

This is not from dm although I am having a hard time explaining what could be causing this.
If it is progressing i would see someone.

In brief: Quite possibly.

One of the signs of uncontrolled or poorly controlled diabetes is "burning tongue".
Diabetes can also cause neuropathies or nerve problems. See your physician to confirm it's the diabetes doing this. If not, consultation with a dentist and/or a neurologist may be a smart idea!
