Lupus is an autoimmune disease and the red meat causes inflammation.
Omega 3fatty a ida found in fish has the opposite effect. Some alternative practioners propose also avoiding dairy productsin lupus.

Agree with Dr. Westfield. Best fish for omega 3s is wild salmon as farmed fish contains many contaminates. Supplements of omega 3 fatty acids should be molecularly distilled to be free of pesticides and contaminants e.g. MaxDHA by Jarrow Formulas.

In brief: SLE diet

This is untrue. Lean red meat is an excellent source of iron, protein and nutrients.
The only reason to avoid steak, or any thick meat, would be if you had esophageal motility or swallowing problems.
