In brief: Avoid NSAIDS

So everyone has a very acidic stomach, but you probably feel symptoms like heartburn.
In these cases, nsaids like Ibuprofen or Naproxen can enhance these symptoms. Some people get relief when taking these meds with a proton pump inhibitor.

In brief: ACETAMINOPHEN

The longer answer is "it depends" on the type of arthritis one has.
For osteoarthritis or other no -inflammatory forms of disease tylenol (acetaminophen) works best. For more inflammatory diseases, if an anti inflammatory medication is deemed needed, Celebrex is safest for the stomach. One should also use a drug to protect the stomach known as a ppi ( proton pump inhibitor).
