In brief: 2-3weeks

All depend weather the meniscus was excised(partial menisectomy)or it was sutured.
Simple uncomplicated menisectomy no more than two weeks, repaired one about six to eight weeks.

Having said that i want tell you that depend on two factors.
1-the surgery done (repair of the meniscus versus excision) in repair take long time to heal up to six month. 2-what kind of work you do. Office type you could go back in one week after excision, manual labor it take about 3-4 weeks.
