Is it possible to put a herniated disk back into place with yoga exercises?

In brief: No
In most instances, herniated disc are resorbed by the body.
They do not go back into place. Often what are described as disc bulging on lumbar mri's are actually bony spurs or discosteophyte complexes. They do not resorb. Kind of counter intuitive, the larger the disc herniation the faster the disc resorbs. This is thought to be because the large disc herniation stirs up a larger immune response.

In brief: No
Unfortunately discs that herniate that cause sciatica cannot be restored to their original position but most do get better. The fate of the disc herniation treated this way has been shown on follow up mri's to shrink in size or diappear in 60% by 6 months.
Yoga is a great core exercise to help minimize the risk of a disc problem from developing as well as treating one that has occurred.
