My home pregnancy test showed a faint line. Am I pregnant?

Most likely yes. Home urine pregnancy tests are very accurate, so a faint positive line means a woman is pregnant. Her primary care doctor can do another test to confirm the pregnancy, and then her ob-gyn doctor can begin prenatal care.
False positive. It may be too early to tell. If you're > than a week after your missed period, it may be a false positive and should be repeated after another week. A serum test would be more accurate and could be done right now.

Two home pregnancy test (same brand) both were inconclusive. The lines show up very very faint. What does this mean???

Means wait, recheck. Usually, a faint positive line on a urine pregnancy test is still positive, but the concentration of HCG in the urine is not high enough to create a strongly positive line. If pregnant, the line should be strongly colored a several days later. One can test again in 5 days (but wait longer until 3 weeks after sex, if 5 days from now it still hasn't been 3 weeks after sex). Read more...
