In brief: 8 to 12 weeks
A standard fractured bone that is in place without major displacement takes 8 to 12 weeks to heal in a healthy person with proper immobilization.
Smoking, diabetes, osteoporosis, and other chronic conditions can prolong or delay this healing. Premature mobilization or weight bearing on the extremity could also cause delayed or non healing.

You can't talk about a broken fibula without mentioning NFL legend Jack Youngblood. He suffered a broken fibula in the first round of the 1979 playoffs and yet played every down of the playoffs and the Super Bowl. However, I wouldn't recommend that for mere mortals.

In brief: Depends
It depends on which location on the fibula and how complex the fracture is.
If it is a simple distal fibular fracture, which means at your ankle, it should take 2-4 weeks. Fibula fractures that are more complex or proximal will take longer, from 4-6 weeks and 8 in some cases. Some may require surgery if it complicated by other injuries.
