Vinegar is a weak acid. Dandruff is often a sign of an irritated or dry scalp, prolonged contact may be irritating to the scalp if you are sensitive to it. Intermittent use may help slough off scale from the scalp as a home remedy but you should cautious of prolonged or repetitive use. The odor will attract fruit flies and gnats as a side note...
