Can you tell me what are the dangers of keeping an eye that is damaged from glaucoma?

In brief: No danger
There is no danger in "keeping" a poorly seeing eye.
If the eye is blind and painful secondary to glaucoma then this needs to be addressed.

In brief: Rare
There is no immediate danger to keeping a damaged eye from glaucoma.
Only in the most extreme cases would there be a reason not to keep an eye such as intractable pain, a severe infection or inflammation (very rare) not able to be controlled and presenting risk to the body or the other eye. Eye removal is permanent.
