In brief: No
The eye will progress at it s own rate irrespective of what optical correction it is provided with.
Myopia progresses at a slower rate as you get older and generally stops at what level it has reached by the mid to late 20's. Some provide contact lenses in someone of your age and will state that it will stop progression knowing full well that it would have stopped anyway.

In brief: No
There is not a way to stop the progression of myopia.
The eyeballs grow very little after early childhood, but even a slight changes in the shape of eyeballs can increase myopia. A one gets older, the eyeballs will finally stop changing, but that may be in his 20's or 30's.
