In brief: Absolutely

They are quite different exams.
For glasses, they just have to measure your eyeglass power. For contact lenses, they also have to measure the shape of your cornea, which you need a special machine for, and then the have to be examined to make sure they fit well. The 2 exams are very different.

In brief: Slightly

We need to assess your corneal curvature for base curve fitting and check for conditions such as dry eye.
A conversion factor needs to be applied to your glasses rx.

In brief: Yes

Contact lens fitting is not part of a general eye exam and is considered a separate service.
