In brief: Yes
Anything which damages the eye from the cornea to the area where the two optic nerves cross in the middle of the skull (chiasm) will cause monocular vision loss.
Retrochiasmal injury like brain injury causes vision loss in both eyes.

simply put, enough eye/face/head injury can/will cause damage and it can damage 1% or 100% of the eye..Why do you ask???

In brief: Depends
This depends upon the nature of the injury.
You can directly injure and eye or its nervous supply leading to a loss of vision in one eye alone. This can also happen with injuries that affect the bones surrounding the nerves leading to the eye. Another group is related to embolic phenomena from injury in other body parts and some cases of loss occur because of ischemia from blood loss.
