In brief: It will be treated.

Taking care of asthma is important during pregnancy.
Asthma medications are safe to take. Not breathing is not safe. Make sure your doctors and nursing team know you have asthma so that a care plan can be established. There is nothing wrong with getting a breathing treatment during labor. Oxygen is good for you and the baby.

Make sure you give birth in the hospital where doctors will be available to treat you.
This is not uncommon. Good luck!

In brief: Will need to treat

An asthma attack experienced during the birth of your child should be managed essentially the same way--short acting beta agonists (albuterol).
