In brief: No

No, diarrhea is more of a physiological issue, not caused by an anatomical problem like hernia.

In brief: Not likely

Unless the hernia is quite large and containing intestinal contents such as a portion of irritated colon, a hernia is not likely to be a cause of diarrhea.

In brief: Doubtful

While it is possible that this could happen, it would be unusual, and there is really no way to link the symptom to the hernia anyway.
Having said that, it is possible that the symptom woul resolve after the hernia is repaired, but i certainly wouldn't count on it. Even if it doesn't help, repair would eliminate that as a possibility, and prevent problems from the hernia in the future.
