Not wearing you correct spectacle correction over the age of ten cannot damage your eyes, under the age of 10 this can lead to poor vision development.
Sunglass wear is another issue. Large amounts of ultraviolet exposure does increase the incidence of cataracts. Wear your sunglasses!

Any glasses (not just sunglasses) will block most UV rays that can damage the eyes. A hat will also work for this.
