Botox. Botox is a purified protein that, when injected into muscles, causes muscles to relax. This leads to decreased wrinkling in the skin over the treated muscle and a smoother appearance to the skin. Botox injections typically cost between $250 and $400 per area treated. It does not remove all the wrinkles around the eye or under it; mostly just softens the lateral "crow's feet".
Probably not.... Every practitioner has their own style but i believe most of us feel that while Botox is effective in softening the "crows feet" on the outside of the eyelid the more central wrinkles on the lower eyelid are better treated with surgery or injectables. Botox paralyzes muscles and the circular eyelid muscle should only be treated in small areas lest the patient lose the ability to close their eyes.
