Lots of things. Besides migraine, lots of things can cause left sided headaches (or right-sided headaches). There is no disease which only causes left-sided headaches--if this is what you mean by your question. Other causes of unilateral headaches includes brain tumor, blood clots, bone infections, aneurysms, blood vessel malformations, cysts, scalp abscess, etc.

Agree, and... Sorry to hear :(. I agree with Dr. Rutledge, but also want to mention two things. First, unilateral (one side of head) headaches should be evaluated for other causes than tension headache. Also, you mention using lortab- using pain killers more than twice a week (even if for your lower back pain) can cause rebound headaches. Hope that helps! Read more...
