With chronic bronchitis or copd, what is the color & texture is the mucous or secretions from the lungs?

All different... Sputum can have many colors and still be ok. The color that is most worrisome is red; this always needs to be evaluated by your doctor. Otherwise, if your sputum changes in color and consistency you need to be seen by your doctor.
Various. It could be clear, white, yellow, green, thick, thin. It changes over time. It is commonly more copious in the morning upon awakening.
Usually white. A bacterial infection may develop if it becomes green or yellow. An antimicrobial may become useful early. If there is blood than a lung doc should be seen asap.
