In brief: Yes?

What is the question? Both viruses and bacteria and other types of organisms can produce infection.
If you have a specific issue, write back.

In brief: Both cause

Infection of some sort.
There are plenty of them around. Viral infection are self limiting, need supportive treatment , rest , plenty of fluids. Both can be short or long term depends on type of virus/bacteria involved w/or w/o complications. Virus do not need antibiotics! bacterial infections do.
