The U.S. Food and drug administration, june 27, 2012, approved Belviq (lorcaserin hydrochloride), as an addition to a reduced-calorie diet and exercis, for chronic weight management.
It works best in patients who suffer from weight-related conditions, such as high blood pressure, type-2 diabetes, or high cholesterol. At least 47.5% of patients lost at least 5% of their body weight from the med.
