Is sucking on a blanket dangerous for my baby?

Possibly... ...If the blanket has loose or frayed edges, then your child runs the risk of having a piece of the blanket come off and pose an aspiration risk. As a general rule, you usually do not want to allow babies to have objects which may break off, fall off, or otherwise separate into tiny objects that can obstruct airways. If you must give something, a baby teething ring or pacifier will do just fine!
