How can get relief from pain and swelling of the left knee?

See your doctor. If rest, ice and elevation do not help in a short period of time, i would have the knee evaluated by your physician.
Needs evaluation. First must determine cause of the pain and swelling. Traumatic or atraumatic? This all has to be worked up. May need xrays, blood tests, aspiration, or even MRI scan.
