In brief: ER positive

In general, er+ has better prognostic features.
However, the entire picture has to be evaluated (tumor size, lymph node involvement, distant spread) in order to determine prognosis for you. A big factor is individual biology. Tumors are different in different people, different ages and even ethnicities. Focus on following your prescribed treatment regimen and thinking positive.

In brief: Er/pr positive

The survival and outcomes are better with receptor positive breast cancer.
Stage for stage the long term prognosis is better for this group. Although Herceptin (trastuzumab) has done a lot for women with her-2 positive disease, it is still a less positive outcome than er pr positive cases.
