I have these small red smooth bumps on my vaginal lips. I've just now become sexual active, not even within the past week. How can I get rid of them?

Probably no need. Most likely it's just local irritation from the friction of sex, probably nothing abnormal and likely will return to previous appearance in a few days. If not, or if you otherwise remain concerned, see a doctor to be sure. I hope you're using adequate contraception and condoms to prevent STDs and HIV; and that you have been immunized against HPV. If not, ask your doctor about the vaccine. Read more...

I have a small bump on my inner vaginal lip and it stings sometimes. I know it's not an STI because I recently had a pap test and it only comes when I'm about to get my period. What could it be?

Alternatively it could be a herpes lesion that comes out around the time of your menses. A pap test will not necessarily dx herpes. Ask your medical provider to culture it when it presents just to make sure. There is medication available to suppress herpes infections. Read more...

Which are basically swollen sweat glands in the vaginal tissue. They usually look white, smooth, and don't hurt, itch or small. If one squeezes them (which i don't recommend b/c you can infect the skin) - they will express thick, white mater. Read more...

Small bump no puss on left vaginal lip. How do I know needs checked? To embarrassed to go to dr, especially if nothing to worry about. Doesnt hurt.

Skin and Bumps. Hello utah. If there is no pain, no redness and the bump is not changing then there is little to be done other than just watching it. Sometimes a gland at the opening of your vagina, the bartholin's duct can get blocked and it can get infected. Remember, that your body is just a body. Your skin is just skin. To a doctor, there is absolutely nothing embarrassing about bodies or skin. Read more...
