In brief: Yearly checkups

Vitiligo can be associate with other autoimmune diseases, especially thyroid disease.
You should see your doctor yearly for a good history and physical examination, particularly because of the hypothyroidism. If any new signs or symptoms have developed, additional testing for conditions such as pernicious anemia or arthritis would be indicated.

In brief: Autoimmune

Autoimmune diseases often go together and a complete physical exam and possible lab workup would be a good idea.
