Exercise, in general, is almost always allowed.
I would recommend against running and jumping type activities, done on a regular basis, to prevent or slow the onset of degenerative arthritis. Biking, swimming, and weight training would all be the better choices. Walking would be allowed, but certainly is not my first preference.
